Our training programs are designed to provide an introduction to the heavy equipment industry and basic heavy equipment operation.

Our graduates have both classroom time and hands-on experience making them well rounded and ready to work. Certified operators are safe and reliable. They have proved to us that they can stick through the program as well as learn what we teach, and are eager to prove to you they can do the job.

Technology. All NAHETS member schools utilize the latest technology to teach students. Examples of advanced technology include: computerized equipment simulators, video ipods containing advanced instructional methods, and internet-based learning tools, all designed to help students learn better, quicker and more efficiently.

Certification. All of our campus locations offer 3 types of certification:
  1) NCCER
  2) CCO
  3) NAHETS (the only national certification solely designed for Heavy Equipment Training Schools).
NAHETS member schools offer the most challenging and elite curriculum in the nation.

Graduates receive National Certification from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) as well as NAHETS certification. Crane graduates will have taken the first steps towards National Certification from the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). NAHETS fully endorses the national certification program offered by The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) and will prepare candidates for the CCO certification examinations.

CPR Certification. Safety training is one of the most important aspects of our program, and CPR is a vital part of any good safety program. Our CPR training has literally saved lives and helped students gain better jobs and higher pay.

Grade Reading / Setting / Checking. We go above and beyond the industry standard of only checking grades. From the beginning of training, our students work on real projects in the field that give them practical grade setting skills This is a valuable asset to have when our students are negotiating salary with future employers, and often results in quicker promotion and higher average pay for our graduates.

Graduation Rodeo. Each graduating class participates in a competition to show off their new skills on graduation day. This event is fun and open to all the relatives and guests of graduating students. This type of event is becoming a popular pastime of Heavy Equipment Operators worldwide.

Real On-The-Job Preparation. In an effort to expose our students to the real world and on-the-job experience, our schools regularly schedule field trips and tours to local job sites and host employers that give speeches about what it takes to work and thrive in the industry.
